Érd és Térsége Regionális Vízközmű Kft.

In 2006, Veolia Víz Zrt. and its largest interest in Hungary, Fővárosi Csatornázási Művek Zrt., signed a long-term cooperation agreement and operating contracts with the municipalities of the seven owners of Érd és Térsége Víziközmű Kft. (ÉTV). Pursuant to the contract, Veolia Víz Zrt. and Fővárosi Csatornázási Művek Zrt. purchased a 26% stake in the company providing services to the Budapest agglomeration region. The contract includes, among other things, the water supply of Érd, Törökbálint, Tárnok, Diósd, Herceghalom, Sóskút and Pusztazámor, as well as the waste water drainage and treatment of Törökbálin, Sóskút, Herceghalom and Pusztazámor, as well as the sewage disposal of Remeteszőlős. Since 2012, sewage drainage and cleaning of the settlements of Érd, Diósd and Tárnok have been carried out by FCSM Zrt., Veolia Víz Zrt., ÉTV Kft., and Érd és Térsége Csatorna-sólgáltató Kft. (ÉTCS), established by the three municipalities.

The most important achievements of the two companies:

  • with the cooperation of professional investors, the capacity expansion of the Érd wastewater treatment plant from 5,000 m3 to 8,000 m3 in record time,
  • the professional assistance of the development affecting the settlements of Érd, Diósd, Tárnok, largely supported by the European Union, during which approximately 400 km of canals, 60 sewage lifting plants were built, and the capacity of the Érd Wastewater Treatment Plant was expanded to 15,000 m3/day,
  • the utilization of compressed sewage sludge for the purpose of biogas and electrical energy production,
  • construction of a 300-meter charging line, construction of the most modern KPE material water network, with electrofitting joints,
  • renovation of engine houses, sewage pumping stations, replacement of pumps,
  • diagnostics of the sewer network with modern industrial cameras,
  • scheduled reconstruction of deteriorated sewers, continuous reduction of the proportion of pipes made of concrete and asbestos cement,
  • increasing the volume of self-produced water,
  • introduction of an energy management system, prioritizing energy efficiency aspects during operation and procurement processes,
  • operation of ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015; ISO 4501:2018; ISO 50001:2018 management systems,
  • creating a customer service office in the city center that meets today's expectations,
  • detection of illegal connections and rainwater introductions
