The Group employs approximately 2,500 people who provide professional services for various towns, institutions and industrial businesses enabling them efficient resource management, while the water utility and district heating branches of the company supply drinking water for hundreds of thousands of families, and heating services to tens of thousands of households.

Energy Services

Veolia is a key player in the Hungarian energy market with over 30 years of professional experience. The group’s energy business supplies 72 state and local government institutions, 68 healthcare and social institutions and 57 industrial sites with energy, and as a district heating provider, it provides heating for 404,249 district-heated apartments and public institutions in 16 cities. The group’s ten power plants – in Pécs, Dorog, Kőbánya, Debrecen, Nyíregyháza, Szakoly, Ajka, as well as the power plants of Budapesti Erőmű Zrt. in Kispest, Újpalota and Kelenföld – operate high-efficiency natural gas-fired units and renewable energy – biomass – and, thanks to its virtual power plant, it also has a significant share in the regulatory market. The electricity sold by the group annually is capable of meeting the annual consumption of nearly 623 thousand residents.

Veolia Hungary supplies 16.1 million m3 of healthy drinking water to its residential customers every year, and also manages and treats 21.0 million m3 of wastewater and stormwater, serving more than 362,000 residents in Hungary. Its team of over 500 professionals strives to provide local governments with quality services that meet all their needs every day.

Veolia Mélyépítő Magyarország Kft., founded in 1995 as SADE Magyarország Mélyépítő Kft., is active in the design, construction, reconstruction and maintenance of utility networks and related structures. The company offers its services to public, industrial and private customers throughout the country.

It offers turnkey solutions to network problems in industrial production plants through diagnostic testing, fire water systems, transmission and distribution pipelines, wastewater lifting and treatment stations, and rehabilitation of existing networks. The company is at the forefront of implementing community infrastructure investments. Over the past years, it has built or renovated numerous municipal public spaces (parks, sports fields, squares, visitor centers).

Veolia Water Technologies Hungary Zrt. (VWS Hungary) is a member of the world-leading Veolia Water group in water and wastewater treatment and drinking water services.

Within the group, the subsidiary Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies Inc., which specializes in technological solutions and general contracting, is currently the largest multinational technology and construction company in the industry.

An increasing number of successful companies are trying to outsource tasks that are not directly related to the company's profile.

As an environmental service provider, the company provides outsourced wastewater treatment and industrial water treatment services to its partners, and operates the built or acquired purifiers and treatment systems.
