Country Director’s Measure No. 94/2023 on Whistleblowing

Compliance with applicable laws and regulations, business ethics rules and fair business practices is a cornerstone of the sustainable operation of the Veolia Hungary Group. To ensure this, we operate an internal whistleblowing system through which unlawful or suspected unlawful acts or omissions, as well as other misconduct, can be reported securely.

  • Which companies within the Veolia Hungary Group are covered: Veolia Energia Magyarország Zrt., Pannon Hőerőmű Zrt., Pannon-Biomassza Kft., CHP Invest Kft., Bakonyi Erőmű Zrt., Budapesti Erőmű Zrt., Veolia Mélyépítő Magyarország Kft., Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies Magyarország Zrt. (hereinafter jointly referred to as “Veolia”)
     

  • Purpose: To provide a clear and easily accessible system for reporting information concerning unlawful or suspected unlawful acts or omissions, as well as other misconduct.
     
  • Who may make a report: Reports may only be made by persons who are, or have been, in an employment, business or other legal relationship with Veolia.  For the precise definition of the persons entitled to make a report, please refer to the full text of the Measure.
     
  • Reporting channels and contact details:
    • By e-mail: [email protected]
    • By post: 2040 Budaörs, Szabadság út 301. (The envelope should be marked “Report, Strictly Confidential!” and “For the attention of the Compliance Officer”.)
    • In word: In person to the Compliance Officer.
  • Investigation process: The notification is investigated by the Compliance Officer, depending on the circumstances, within a maximum of 30 days (which may be extended to a maximum of 3 months in particularly justified cases), with the assessment of the Compliance and Internal Control Committee (CICC).
     
  • Safeguards: Veolia guarantees strict confidentiality, the protection and deletion of personal data, fair treatment, compliance with conflict-of-interest rules, and undertakes to ensure that no person is subject to discrimination, harassment or any other form of retaliation as a result of making a report.
