Focus on Supporting Physical, Mental, and Social Health

Well-being week held for the fourth time at Veolia
Wellbeing hét

For the WellBeing of our colleagues, we once again held WellBeing Week during the first week of June –now for the fourth time. Between June 1 and 5, our colleagues could participate in exciting presentations, group cooking, and a week-long game.

Our overall well-being can be divided into three simple categories: physical health, mental health, and social well-being/personal relationships. That’s why at Veolia, we find it important to highlight the significance of each during WellBeing Week this year as well.

Eye-Opening Presentations

During WellBeing Week, our colleagues could attend two psychological lectures, thanks to the Mindset Psychological Center. On June 2, Fanni Kovács, psychologist and candidate for counseling psychologist, talked about different personality types and why it is important to recognize which type we and those around us are closest to. On June 4, psychologist Dorottya Zele, a family therapist in training, presented small tricks we can apply in our busy everyday lives that can lead to big changes in the long term. Both presentations were held at our Budaörs headquarters, but colleagues working at other locations could also join thanks to the online broadcast.

Team Building Through Cooking Together

On June 5, at several of our rural sites, the tradition of group cooking and making stew continued, while in Budaörs, colleagues enjoyed a picnic this year as well. Team-building through shared cooking and eating proved to be a great opportunity to spend quality time with colleagues in a more informal way.

Let’s Recharge Our Own Resources!

In addition to the dedicated events, colleagues could also join the “Recharged” challenge during WellBeing Week. Each day, participants had a small challenge:

  • Monday - Hydration and fruit/vegetable intake

  • Tuesday - Mindfulness exercise

  • Wednesday - Stretching and a 20-minute walk

  • Thursday - Expressing gratitude or giving positive feedback

  • Friday - Listing 3 things that went well during the week

Moreover, by participating, our colleagues could not only do more for their physical and mental health, but also compete for valuable prizes.

We thank all participants, presenters, and organizers for once again working together for our physical and mental health, as well as our social well-being. Well-being is not a one-time project, but an integral part of corporate culture. We believe that initiatives supporting workplace well-being are just as beneficial for companies as they are for employees.
