Roundtable discussion
At the Group’s Paris headquarters, an interesting roundtable discussion took place, moderated by Isabelle Hellio, the Group’s Director of Diversity and Engagement. Experts and leaders from various Veolia zones discussed issues of gender equality, challenges and problems, stereotypes, and how men experience the changing roles of women in today’s society.
The Hungarian and Slovenian subsidiaries also actively participated in the YES WEDO week’s events with awareness-raising programs and actions.
#NotALuxuryBag campaign
In 2025, our company also joined the #notaluxurybag campaign, during which basic hygiene products were collected nationwide for women in need. Many bags were collected, which our employees handed over at one of the foundation’s collection points organizing the campaign on Women’s Day, who will then forward them to disadvantaged women.
Dare to Grow!
On the occasion of the YES WEDO week, our company launched a new video series in which, each quarter, one successful female leader from the Group is introduced.
Diversity Wednesday
During International Women’s Day week, we not only celebrated women’s rights and achievements but also diversity, so we encouraged our colleagues to come to work in as colorful and varied attire as possible on Wednesday, March 5, further emphasizing the importance of diversity.
Women’s Day lecture
The highlight of our Women’s Day event series this year was a lecture by Gabriella Jakupcsek, who shared, through her personal experiences, how we can feel our best in our own skin, what challenges women face in different life stages, and what paths can lead to solutions. The lecture was a great success among our colleagues: based on feedback, it was our most inspiring program so far, and this year the most questions were submitted to the speaker. The lecture was made available not only on-site but also via online streaming for nearly 80 colleagues working at remote locations.
At Veolia, we are committed to supporting diversity and strengthening the role of women in the workplace and beyond. We thank the organizers and presenters for their work, as well as all our colleagues for their participation and dedication!
