Veolia Hungary organized the international "Health and Safety Week" series of events again. The programme aimed at strengthening employees’ awareness of occupational risks and improving accident prevention results.
During the week, our colleagues participated in several theoretical and practical trainings, including first aid courses, firefighting drills, and other interactive programs. A novelty this year was the "Stop Think Act" workshop, an idea coming from the company group, which focused on conscious decision-making.
The objective of the "Stop, Think, Act" campaign is to raise the awareness of colleagues that safety at work is not only about following rules, but also about being able to stop in time and assess the risks of a given situation. One of the most exciting elements of the program was a card game developed by the company group, in which participants drew from thirty different work scenarios and had to decide whether the activity in question should be immediately suspended or not. The correct answers were printed on the back of the cards, providing instant feedback on the outcome of their decisions.
