Bakonyi Erőmű Zrt. has been running the Ajka power plant as the member of the Veolia Group since the end of 2017 and produces heat and electricity, as well as industrial steam.
The plant uses biomass (wood chips and agricultural by-products) for the production of district heating delivered via hot-water medium for the Ajka service area, and for the production of electricity as well.
