We have successfully completed Veolia Hungary’s most complex audit process to date!

Veolia Hungary has successfully renewed the certifications of its integrated management system, taking another step towards quality, safe, and sustainable operations. The audit, conducted between May 5–9, 2025, according to four international standards, confirmed the organization’s commitment to environmental protection, workplace safety, energy management, and continuous improvement.

The most complex audit process in the history of Veolia Hungary took place in May 2025, carried out by Certop Termék és Rendszertanúsító Kft. according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards. During the audit, which covered quality management, environmental protection, occupational safety, and energy management, 8 auditors conducted a total of 27 audit days' worth of inspections in just 5 calendar days—setting a record in terms of resources invested and the depth of the examination. This comprehensive certification process clearly reflects the organization’s commitment to excellence and sustainability.

This year’s audit represents a milestone not only in its scale but also in its content: with the expansion of the certification scope, new sites—including CHP-INVEST Kft. and Újpalotai Energia Kft.’s facilities in Oroszlány—were added to the system. As a result, electricity generation from renewable energy sources has also been brought under standardized quality management frameworks, further strengthening Veolia’s commitment to climate-conscious operations and a low-carbon future.

The certification success was the result of coordinated, precise preparation. Timely execution of internal audits, addressing previously identified improvement opportunities, and up-to-date management of data and documentation all contributed to the certifying organization identifying best practices that go beyond the standards in several areas. These feedbacks not only reinforce previous work but also provide direction for further development.

The companies involved in the audit:

• Veolia Energia Magyarország Zrt.

• Pannon Hőerőmű Zrt.

• PANNONGREEN Kft.

• Pannon-Hő Kft.

• Pannon-Biomassza Kft.

• Bakonyi Erőmű Zrt.

• BAKONYI BIOENERGIA Kft.

• KŐBÁNYAHŐ Kft.

• CHP-INVEST Kft.

• Újpalotai Energia Kft.

Without the coordinated work of the ten companies examined during the audit and the exemplary dedication of colleagues, this success could not have been achieved. We owe thanks to all our colleagues involved for their precision, professional attitude, and cooperation during the preparation. This result not only proves the compliance of our management systems but also shows that the Veolia community is capable of working together consciously and responsibly towards solutions that support a sustainable future.
