The “Talent Deserves a Chance” mentorship program, supported by Veolia Energia Magyarország Zrt., has reached its fourth season. Since 2021, it has helped disadvantaged children with artistic development and conscious life education.
The aim of the program is to allow participating children to discover their talents through experiential sessions, express their thoughts, and learn about sustainability in a playful and creative way. During their collaborative work, paintings and photographs are created, which are exhibited and then sold at a charity auction. The proceeds from the auction go directly to the children’s own accounts.
New features this season
The 4th season is being implemented on a broader scale than ever before, with several new partnerships and expanded professional content. A new collaboration has begun with the Szent Rita Foster Parent Network of the Vác Diocese, making the program available not only in Budapest but also in the area of Örkény and Cegléd. Activities now take place at six locations, with an increased number of participating children.
Personal development sessions involve 50–60 children, while the program’s tools (workbooks and books) reach an additional 150–200 children.
Further new elements this season include:
Foster parent education launched with the participation of the Szent Rita Foster Parent Network and Bokréta Homes;
Mapping out development opportunities for 4–7-year-old children through kindergarten partnerships;
Teachers and parents can also become acquainted with the special development program;
Some artists hold small group, personal sessions in their own studios;
Joint value creation
Veolia places special importance on ensuring that its social responsibility programs create real, long-term value. We are proud to support this initiative for the fourth year, which gives talent a chance to unfold, builds community, and shapes the future.
Over the next few months, we will continuously report on the colourful and exciting events of this season and the successes of the children.
